Some of Africa’s most alluring destinations are located in the country of Tanzania: Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Zanzibar and Ngorongoro. With over 150 ethnic groups, Tanzania is a cultural mosaic of humanity, with virtually limitless geographical backdrops of mountains, seashores, deserts and ancient ruins. Yet in all this beauty, the fact remains, that over 20% of the nation is still unreached with the Gospel. Those who have been reached, are rarely discipled, and many villages still don’t have churches or even a Pastor.

Ministry in Tanzania

Village Evangelism

Teams will have the opportunity to travel to remote villages and share the Good News of the Gospel in the unreached regions of this amazing country. Taking the Good News to literally the ends of the Earth.

School Ministry

Teams will be given the opportunity to minister within our contacts region, to the local schools. Here you will discover a great number of children attending these rural schools. We will minister through teaching classes, VBS, and large assemblies.

Discipleship

Teams will have several different venues to help disciple Christians. Teams will also minister in a variety of ways whether through conferences, church services, or literally going from village to village or door to door. The options are endless in Tanzania.

Come to East Africa, where the door is open for the Gospel, but the laborers are few. Village evangelism and school ministry are the primary methods for reaching out to each community. Team members may also participate in a children’s feeding outreach and have the opportunity to facilitate a daily kids program.

Airfare and In-country Transportation

At Global Infusion, we are committed to taking care of as many logistical details as possible, so you, the short-term missionary, can focus on your INFUSION ADVENTURE. We coordinate all the airline travel booking as it is included in the trip cost. We also are responsible for the organization of all in-country transportation. The cost of your flight is included in the total trip cost.

Passports & Visas

Both a valid passport and a Tanzanian visa are required for travel. If you do not have a valid passport, please click here to obtain one. Once you have a passport, we will contact you regarding acquiring a Tanzanian visa. Global Infusion will facilitate all visa processing. Visa and processing are included in the total trip cost.

Immunizations

Malaria* is required. A recent tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, Polio, and Typhoid shots are all recommended**.

* Note: Chloroquine is NOT an effective antimalarial drug in Tanzania and should not be taken to prevent malaria in this region. Please see your personal physician before taking any anti-malarial medicine.

**GI staff can assist you with acquiring any necessary vaccination or medication information required for foreign travel. Vaccination and immunization costs are not included in your total trip cost as you will have to obtain these at a medical facility where you live. If you have any questions or concerns about your immunizations, please contact your family physician before they are administered.

The team will be staying both in a main city, and a village. Sleeping bags and pillows may be required. The majority of meals will be prepared by our contacts. Clean water and or bottled water is readily available.

There are a variety of excursion options to choose from, depending where the team is stationed during the trip. Free days may include a safari and souvenir shopping in Dar es Salaam.

All other information, including what to pack, weather conditions, country history, fundraising techniques, health recommendations, and cross-cultural travel tips are all included in the INFUSION ADVENTURES manual you will receive once your application and deposit has been turned in to Global Infusion.
