The country of Uruguay is a small, gem in South America with a lot of history, unequalled natural beauty, magnificent coastlines, extremely friendly people, and a capital city with many attractions!
This country is located in a privileged setting, surrounded by the enormous territories of Argentina and Brazil, giant rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Teams will be doing evangelim while in Uruguay based on the team members skills and talents. Some teams will be doing door to door ministry. Others will minister in University settings. Teams will also lead disciple opportunites and so much more. Any talent you can bring in a team, we can use here! The people of Salto are very open and curious toward Americans. They are very educated and respectful people. But since they have not had much of any Bible teaching or relationship with Christ, they cannot understand why educated people would believe in God
Airfare and In-country TransportationAt Global Infusion, we are committed to taking care of as many logistical details as possible, so you, the short-term missionary, can focus on your INFUSION ADVENTURE. We coordinate all the airline travel booking as it is included in the trip cost. We also are responsible for the organization of all in-country transportation.
Passports & VisasA valid passport is required. Uruguay visa is not required for Americans who will stay for no more than 90 days.If you do not have a valid passport, please click here to obtain one.
ImmunizationsTyphoid and Hepatitis A are both recommended. (GI staff will help you with acquiring any necessary vaccination or medication information required for foreign travel.) Vaccination and immunization costs are not included in your total trip cost as you will have to obtain these at a medical facility where you live. If you have any questions or concerns about your immunizations, please contact your family physician before they are administered.
The team will be staying in dorm-type facilities; each person will have their own bed (sleeping bags are not required). Food will be prepared by sanctioned cooks, and purified water is readily available.
All other information, including what to pack, weather conditions, country history, fundraising techniques, health recommendations, and cross-cultural travel tips are all included in the INFUSION ADVENTURES manual you will receive once your application and deposit has been turned in to Global Infusion.
