This is the season to be thankful. We’ve all said the same things ‘I’m thankful for family, food on the table, my friends ect’. And that’s great because those are wonderful things to be thankful for. I started thinking, are those words just habits or am I really thankful? For me, there is a whole different meaning to thankfulness this year.
I became an adult this year and so much has changed. I’ve started looking at things from a different prospective. I’ve been afforded opportunities that I never imagined could happen. I have met some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever known.
I started an internship with Global Infusion in August and I had no idea what I was getting into. I have learned so much and I am having so much fun. I have grown spiritually, emotionally and have developed a different kind of maturity all because of them.
I love what I’m doing and love the feeling of accomplishment even when I feel like I’m in over my head. I’m excited to get into the field but I am happy where I am and who I’m with.
I think we need to start listing all the blessings that God has given us instead of dwelling on the few things we don’t have.
So what am I thankful for this year? My new friends who have become my family… Brother John and Ms. Judy for their knowledge and prayers. Pastor Jonathan for having the faith in me to help see me through this journey and for his leadership. Kyle for all his laughs and his love for GI. Kayla and Danica for their guidance. Summer for staying on me about all my due dates. Lindsay for her experience from being in the field. Patrick for putting up with me.
What are you thankful for this year? Write them out and look at everything God has given you this year.
