About Mission Trips to Philippines

From world-class beaches and international diving spots to breath-taking nature sights and lively regional festivals around the country, the Philippines with its some 7,400 islands ranks as one of the world’s top tourist destinations. The people are known for their cheerful spirit and warm hospitality. English is widely spoken and read.

Though hailed as a Christian Asian nation, much of the population lacks a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. National interest in righteous governance during 2010 elections may indicate approaching revival. Thousands of indigenous people groups still need to be reached with the Gospel.

Ministry in Philippines

Reaching indigenous tribes and the nation

Teams, out of necessity, will spend time driving to a variety of sites in order to reach the people. Some locations may require teams to travel by boat getting to the communities. Teams will distribute basic goods and will have an opportunity to share the Gospel.

Many Filipino families live below the poverty line. A great way to reach them is through giving basic goods such as food or preparing a meal and then sharing the good news of the gospel with them.

Mini Conferences

The team may conduct workshops or seminars on disciple-making, pastoral care or leadership to equip the Pastors in the area. Also included may be teaching on the family – child raising and general health care.

Youth Evangelism

The team may participate or conduct youth and children ministries in several locations which may include both high school and public school.
