It is amazing to me to think that where you stand on the planet determines so many aspects of your life and situation. If you were to be born in Southeast Asia, and grew up standing on the soil of one of these beautiful nations, the chances of you ever hearing about Jesus is extremely low. There are other places on the planet where you can stand, and they have definitely heard of Jesus, except they will torment you, and possibly kill you for following Him. Then, there are locations on the planet where there are hundreds of churches, and tens of thousands of Christian believers within a few miles of where you are standing.

Geography. Same planet. Different location. Very different life situations. And I have not yet referenced the vastly different living conditions one experiences depending on where you stand.
Yet, God is omnipresent. He is everywhere. He is omnipotent. He is all-powerful. So why do more than 3 billion people exist without having heard about Jesus? Us. The answer is us. Those of us who have known the truth of the Gospel have not reached them with the life-changing power Jesus offers.

Now the question is: why not?
There are a variety of reasons—mostly ones that have to do with inconveniencing us. True missions requires sacrifice: time, money, energy, effort, and control of our lives. But there is a plan, and a vision. One that drives GI every day to push towards reaching the lost. This month, will you pray about supporting a church plant and building in Southeast Asia where millions are unreached, and we have a way to reach them.
