Grass.
More than one time, I have stood on a random section of grass in a field, in a country where Global Infusion ministers. To the passerby, it is just that—a field, grassy area, maybe some dirt. But what they don’t know is that God has picked that spot; He has selected this area of the planet He created to have one of His churches planted. Within a few weeks or months, the land has been cleared, a structure has been built, and people who had previously never had a relationship with God – or heard of Him – are now worshiping together in their own language.
Standing on that area of grass can become overwhelming; especially when you think of all the Gospel messages that will go forth, all the people that will be prayed for, how many sicknesses and diseases will be healed, relationships restored, calls from God Himself will be heard, and lives will be rescued from hell.
It’s just a piece of our Earth, but it’s so much more than that. Sure, it served one of it’s purposes, but then has moved on to providing the foundation for the very House of God. A place where God’s Word will go forth. Isaiah echoes this: The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Is. 40:8)
This month we are focusing on building multiple village churches in central and northern Thailand. We send teams regularly, and we have seen tremendous fruit over the years as people turn their lives to Jesus. Pray for our teams, our Pastor, and our latest project: to build 2 churches in an unreached area. Jesus will transform them.
