There is a phrase we’ve all heard: “My home is my castle.” Castles are designed for protection. They are strong, familiar, and safe. But castles were never built for expansion. Hebrews tells us something striking about Jesus: “Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” (Hebrews 13:13)

In the Old Testament, outside the camp was where rejection, suffering, and death took place. It was where sin offerings were burned. It was not a place anyone wanted to be. Yet Hebrews makes it clear—that is where Jesus went. He did not remain in the place of safety. He went outside, for us. And then Scripture says something even more challenging: let us go to Him there.

Our modern “castles” look different, but they serve the same purpose—comfort, predictability, and insulation from risk. Faith practiced only among people who already agree with us. Churches designed to feel safe. Lives arranged to avoid inconvenience or rejection. None of these things are wrong—but they are not the mission. The Gospel was never meant to make us settled; it was meant to make us sent.

Around the world, billions still live outside—outside access to the Gospel, outside the hope we so easily take for granted. If they are going to be reached, someone must be willing to leave what is comfortable and go where the need is greatest.

At Global Infusion, this is why we go. Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s safe. But because Jesus is worthy—and souls matter. Thank you for praying. Thank you for giving. And thank you for being willing, with us, to leave the castle.
