Pulled.

The devil likes to confuse people. Have you ever felt like you could not go forward making a decision because you feel overwhelmed, or confused? God is not the author of confusion, the enemy is. God brings peace, and peace that passes all understanding.

One tactic of the enemy to drive us away from God is distraction. We feel pulled in a million directions. This is also how he operates when it comes to people following Jesus. He will offer a lot of counterfeit substitutes—some come in the form of overt false religions and cults. Other times, it appears so close to the real thing, that a prospective new convert, or young believer can easily be swayed.

Recently I led one of our GI teams to West Africa—and each time I go, I see this happening more and more. As opposed to 10/40 window locations (areas of the world that are either completely unreached with the Gospel, or very little reached), there are nations of the world, such as in West Africa, that are inundated with multiple religions, and cults operating under the guise of Christianity. They are pulled on every side to “join” something. Abject poverty sometimes makes the choice for them — whoever offers the most promises, deliverable or not, wins. How can we stop thousands from making the wrong choice? Go. Preach the Gospel. Evangelize. Trust me when I say ALL these other false cults and religions have NO problem bombarding people with their demonic practices; but they deserve the Truth. They need Jesus. What if it was you stuck in a place like that? What would you want people who knew the Truth to do?
