The Real 1%

During our recent GI trip to the Middle East, we were once again confronted with the reality of our spiritual enemy.  Christianity is simply not welcome in our world. Jesus was killed because of His Gospel message. Since then, millions have lost their lives for the same reason.  Whether it is a false religion or a oppressive political regime, there are many countries that wish to eradicate the message and name of Jesus Christ, and will literally kill to make sure it happens.

Our spiritual enemy has blinded the eyes and hearts of billions of people, so we must push back. Not out of hate, but out of love. If you were sick with a terminal illness, and there was a hospital on the other side of the world that had the cure, what would you want the doctors and nurses there to do? What if you didn’t know about the cure? Or what if you were told the cure doesn’t work, even though it did?

In 1 Corinthians 1:18, Paul writes, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”  Truer words could not be spoken. You see, in the location we were ministering in, we were surrounded by at least a half dozen nations that had less than 1% Christian population. Jesus died and rose again two thousand years ago.  These areas have had TWO-THOUSAND years to receive the Gospel, see new converts, disciple believers, and grow the Kingdom of God, yet they remain at 1%.  One. Percent. Christian.  This is why we go. If we truly believe we have the eternal cure, and there are souls that are bound and destined for an eternity apart from God, we must go. Pray and ask the Lord today how you can support Global Infusion as we continue to go into all the world to reach the lost with the Gospel.
