Women and children murdered. Families running for their lives, waving white flags, killed. Trains and cars carrying non-combatant civilians shot to death. Babies being born in underground subway stations. Evacuees running out of their prescription medicine before finding health aid. Food supplies drying up. Fuel becoming impossible to obtain. Sleeping with air-raid sirens blaring, and waking up to shelling. It’s like watching a movie, but this is real. While the mainstream news regularly distorts or misinterprets the news, we have actual boots on the ground in both Ukraine and Poland.  We are getting live updates from our ministry people, missionaries and literal family members in both locations. Not only is what is happening in Ukraine as bad as it seems, this is one case where it’s actually worse.

In Matthew 24, Jesus said, “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” (verses 4-7)

We are in the last days. Jesus is indeed coming back. But the LAST thing we need to do is quit. We must continue to press in to reach the lost, to make disciples, to do whatever we can to aid those in need. Global Infusion is actively working in Ukraine and Poland—yes, we have people actually in those countries helping on many fronts. Your prayers are needed. Your giving is needed. The world needs help and hope, and we are showing up with the love of God, hope in Jesus, and meeting tangible needs to bring comfort.
