A Brief Update (very brief)
We had been warned that the last few weeks before we leave would be a whirlwind. But even hearing that, we weren’t fully prepared, especially when we chose to launch at the holidays! (And we hope everyone will forgive us for not getting Christmas cards out.)
And yet, with trying to keep track of several to-do lists, trying to be intentional with spending time with people we love and all the packing, we are absolutely filled to the brim with thankfulness. Not a day has gone by that someone hasn’t blessed us with an act of service, a thoughtful text, a meal, a helping hand, an offer to help, a prayer on our behalf and the list goes on. People are going out of their way for us and that is humbling. We have been surrounded by evidence that God is love and He uses His people to communicate that fact.
So here is the actual update:
Carly has finished high school. Brooke has her last full day of public middle school today. I have attended my last Global Infusion meeting (for a year). And Lee is completing his last week of working at the hospital for a year. It’s a week of lasts and it is bitter sweet. I’m pretty sure we experience the full gamut of emotions at least once each hour!
We have one week and a few hours until we get on a plane and fulfill a dream only God could have come up with! We thank you for your prayers, your support, your encouragement and for being on this journey with us. Merry Christmas Friends!
