The past few months have felt like a whirlwind. We moved full time into the mission house in March. This time in the inner city has been fulfilling. We are making relationships with people who need the living Lord Jesus to transform their lives. The neighborhood is full of drugs and sex trafficking. And God has called us here to be light in the darkness. A few weeks ago the Lord told us to have a party. To go all out, bake cakes make punch. He said the only agenda for the day is for people to leave knowing they are valuable and loved. So we did just that, we threw a party. We sent out invitations to every crack house and every prostitute we could find. And the people showed up by the dozens. Their stories broke our hearts. Five souls were saved that day. But everyone left with the message that they were loved by the Father and He was relentlessly pursuing their heart. God is doing amazing things in this city. We are humbled to get to see the hand of the Lord at work everyday. The Lord is uniting the Pastors in the city, we are believing for a mighty revival to sweep through and transform this region. As we work with the Pastors to unite the region across denominational and cultural boundaries we know the Lord is pleased. Pleased that His people are uniting to see a region transformed by the power of the Gospel. Our hearts are overjoyed at the opportunity to return to Guatemala in September. A piece of our hearts belong there. Guatemala is never far from our mind and always in our hearts. As we plan to eventually do a long term stay there and do the same work we are doing in the inner city here it gives us hope. We hold in our heart every person we pray for, every person we have the honor to feed or cloth. The work of the Lord keeps us going. His presence strengthens us even when the days are long. Our trust is in the Lord and nothing else, we depend solely on Him for our needs and the needs of those He has sent us to. In September we are doing an initiative called Saturate, with a goal of reaching 10,000 families with a personal invitation of the Gospel door to door.
