The summer flew by like a whirlwind. By the time we sat to reflect on all what God had done we were blown away. The faithfulness of the Lord always takes our breathe away. It amazes us what all God can do when we simply submit to his will with a simple yes. In May we went to help with street evangelism and a homeless outreach. We saw how much work needed to be done in this are only five hours away from our comfortable home. Our hears burned for the city and the people. As we prayed the Lord laid a plan before us. We quit our jobs packed up and went to stay the month of June. The testimonies from the month of June were nothing short of miraculous. God showed up in the streets of Phenix City and took our breath from us. We saw drug addicts flood the gates of the church because they had felt the love they were shown in the streets. A drug dealer we met the first week ended up working with us, his words telling us he was glad we moved made it all worth it. The faces of the hopeless as they found hope in Christ. July we left and went to Guatemala where the Lord continued to amaze us. The people were hungry for the Lord as we saw many who had never heard the gospel receive Christ as their personal savior. There were healings, deliverances and salvations. What more could you ask for, we asked and the Lord came. Some days the only thing that could be said was He came! Our hearts were knit forever with the contacts it was an instant kingdom connection. Two days after returning to the United States we moved everything to Phenix City to continue with the inner city mission. It has been a busy season. We are being stretched, but we are growing. The things we left behind are nothing compared to the joy we find in serving the Lord.
Because the Lord God helps me, I will not be dismayed; therefore, I have set my face like flint to do his will, and I know I will triumph
