I have noticed in life that many people have the ability to start something, but very few have the ability to sustain it or finish it.  Jesus knew that zeal can be fleeting, but endurance takes resolve.  In Luke 14:28, Jesus poses the question,
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?”
A true vision has the end in mind as much as the beginning.  Without a target or goal, people can become easily distracted or confused.  Global Infusion does not arbitrarily send our mission teams to places around the world in hopes of doing good things for God.  We understand the vision of the contact, whom God has called and anointed to reach their nation for Christ, and enact a plan of preparation to serve them and their vision.

This month marks the sending out of the first of more than 25 GI mission teams planned for 2015.  Team Nepal will be trekking into the Himalayas, facilitating medical clinics, and opening the door for evangelism.  We are doing this because our contact of many years has a vision to plant churches in this region.  It is an area saturated with Buddhism, and Christianity is almost non-existent.  This is not the first trekking team GI has sent to the Himalayas, nor will it be the last.  We will continue to go until churches have been planted and established.  We will go while there still remains a need for evangelism, discipleship and training.  We will go to meet physical needs.  We will go until the unreached have been reached.  We will continue to send our mission teams and long-term GI missionaries into each of the 18 nations (and counting) where we work.  We will go until the job is finished.
When is the job finished?
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
-Jesus (Matthew 24:14)
