I have heard many sermons on the Lord’s Prayer.  I have probably prayed it a thousand times or more.  In my humble opinion, it is easily the deepest, thought-provoking, powerful, and amazingly, most concise prayer I have ever read.  Immediately following the acknowledgement of God being our Father, Jesus says, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”  (Matthew 6:10).  We say and pray this verse, but what does it actually mean?  Various prophetic and end-times chapters in books like Daniel, Isaiah, Matthew, Luke, and Revelation talk about the future of God’s kingdom, but what about now?  Your (God’s) will be done, right here on Earth, right now, as it is in Heaven.
God’s kingdom does not lack resources, nor does it operate on the same time schedule as we do.  God is also omnipotent, all-powerful, and He works through us (Acts 17:28).  In John 14:12, Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”  What would you do if money, time and power were all yours?
In the last two months, Global Infusion launched 10 different mission teams into the nations of the world.  Most of our missionaries went to unreached areas.  Thousands of people heard the Gospel, many were saved.  Hundreds who were hungry were fed.  Disabled orphans were cared for.  Children were not only loved and played with, but they heard about Jesus; some for the first time.  The chains of sin and deception in countries that are dominated by Hinduism, Animism, Buddhism, Tribalism, Atheism, and even Communism, were broken off of many people, because they heard the Truth, and the Truth set them free.
If Heaven is place where those who were lost but found exist, and there is no more hunger, there are no more orphans, and the enemy has been defeated, then we must use every waking minute and resource to see God’s will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.  Pray today about supporting Global Infusion.  More monthly partners will allow us to reach the unreached, provide for the poor, help the homeless and disabled, see the Gospel go into the hearts of children, and transform the Earth by His power and love.
